In this workshop students will learn to create non-toxic drypoint prints utilizing a printing press. Students will draw and design an image on a piece of 5”x 7” copper working with a variety of etching tools. They will learn how to ink, wipe and print a series of 5 prints including both black and white and color variations. The class will develop and draw the image in the gallery at Gathered Glassblowing Studio and then print the edition on a vintage printing press upstairs at Pegboard Press over the course of two sessions. This workshop is a great way to create small gifts, cards and other image-based projects and provides an excellent blend of intuitive and process-based artmaking! All materials included.
